Meat Is Good for You. Here Are the 5 Best Places to Eat Meat.
Dumont
Dumont has a lot of things going for it in the fatty-doesn’t-seem-like-it’s-good-for-you-but-science-says-it-is category. There’s the bacon-studded DuMac and Cheese and the grilled hanger steak with bordelaise sauce. But you can’t go wrong with the always juicy Dumont burger, especially when it’s topped with thick-cut bacon.

Briskettown
Barbecue is experiencing a New York renaissance. Or I guess just a naissance since it was never really a New York thing to begin with. Either way. Go get some brisket at Briskettown because it will melt in your mouth and that’s really what you want with meat. For it to melt.

Nathan’s
So, one of the main points in this new scientific study is that it isn’t enough to just eat some meat, you have to eat a lot of meat. So why not eat a lot of hot dogs? They’re made of meat! All sorts of weird meat! And why not go to Nathan’s on Coney Island, which just reopened after being closed due to Hurricane Sandy, and support the Coney Island neighborhood in general? Go, now, go!

Buttermilk Channel
Sure, everyone thinks of Buttermilk Channel’s fried chicken as the thing to get at this Carroll Gardens stalwart—and rightfully so! It’s delicious and so crackly. But the restaurant also does an amazing steak that comes with a roasted marrow bone and some other stuff, but who cares because bone marrow is so so good. And good for you. Plus, if you need to appease a companion who doesn’t believe in science, they can enjoy the many vegetarian options on offer. So, everyone can be happy!

Pork Slope
This perfect little meat bomb is one of my all-time favorite sandwiches. It has sausage (what’s in the sausage? who gives a shit, really?) and melted cheese and caramelized onions and it’s on delicious and greasy bread. It’s amazing and if eating these will help me live forever, then I might even start believing in god or something. They’re that good.
