2. Gerritsen Beach Library
This relatively new building (1997) has got to be the most distinctive and peculiar library in Brooklyn. It looks like a church! And has an awesome clock tower! Plus a two-story picture window looking out at the sea. Unfortunately, it was hit hard by Sandy and is still closed; currently, a bookmobile services the neighborhood. [photo]
