The most famous example is New York’s largest realtor, the Corcoran Group, presently the subject of a lawsuit, whose Brooklyn Heights office in 2006 was accused by housing advocates of discrimination. The juiciest example: “an agent ‘produced a map of Brooklyn and drew a red outline of the areas in which the white home seeker should consider living,'” the Times reported.
