Granted, we don’t imagine a lot of people carrying home groceries on their bikes, but I just pick Fairway because it’s a major location; make it Ikea, make it some random corner on Van Brunt, whatever. But does any neighborhood need a bike share more than Red Hook? Was the program not created specifically for it? With only a not-always-reliable bus to take you into the neighborhood from the surrounding ones, an alternative would certainly be a huge hit with residents and visitors. This would be a gamechanger like the ferry from DUMBO to Williamsburg.
