The 6 Best Public Pools in Brooklyn

Brooklyn Bridge Park Pop-Up Pool
Back for its second year, the Pop-Up Pool at Brooklyn Bridge Park will be operating on a similar schedule to the rest of the city’s public pools with one notable exception: swimmers can only spend 45-minutes at a time in the pool. While this might sound a little too restrictive, it’s actually a nice incentive to go, splash around for a bit, and then enjoy the rest of the area around the pool, which has been set up to look like a beach, complete with sand, lounge chairs, and picnic tables. The Park’s Conservancy has signed on a new concessionaire, Lizzmonade Brooklyn, which will provide snacks and drinks like lemonade during the day, and sangria and beer after 6pm. While this pool doesn’t have the majestic architecture of the WPA-era public pools, it’s got spectacular views of Manhattan for you to enjoy while working on your backstroke.
