The 10 Creepiest Buildings in Brooklyn
Former 18th Precinct: 4302 Fourth Avenue, Sunset Park
This landmarked 1886 building has stood abandoned on a Sunset Park street corner for as long as I can remember, but before me it was a police precinct until 1970, when a merger rendered it redundant. (The nearby 68th Precinct building, on 65th Street, is about as ugly as buildings get, as is the 72nd Precinct building on 29th Street. They certainly don’t make police precincts like they used to!) Since then, this church-looking structure has been surrounded by scaffolding, graffiti’d, and left to fester, making it look super spooky.
