Dining Solo? 10 of The Best Places in Brooklyn to Eat Dinner at the Bar
Char no. 4
This Carroll Gardens institution tends to get as much love for its bar snacks as for its whiskey selection, and it’s well deserved. One could happily make an entire meal of, say, pork nuggets and deviled eggs with a side of kale slaw. But you could also make it a more leisurely night and work your way through an order of shrimp and grits and a few of their just-spicy-enough “Bourbon Ting” cocktails. Either way, a perfect place to set up shop for a couple of hours, whether you’ve got a date or not.
